INTERPERSONAL PROCESS

One of the benefits of coed group integration in therapy is the differing viewpoints of men and women – because their thought processes are so different, it can be helpful to gain a new perspective when we begin talking about dynamics between male and female family members, or specific issues with romantic relationships. Women and men can easily relate to their specific gender groups, but each may have valuable advice for the other gender. And some men and women relate better to the opposite sex, and we encourage appropriate expression in any way you feel most comfortable.

Time limited groups address specific issues and are as effective as individual therapy for an array of symptoms and conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief, divorce, and others. Any issues involving shame, stigma, or feelings of isolation can often be better addressed in group therapy thanks to the stigma reduction and solidarity that people experience in the presence of their peers.
